The World Health Organization (WHO), in its latest report on the situation of earthquake victims in eastern Afghanistan, has warned that nearly half a million people are in urgent need of health services.

The earthquake, which struck eastern Afghanistan on September 10, displaced hundreds of thousands of people and has now turned into a prolonged displacement crisis.

According to the report, six camps have so far been established for displaced people in Kunar Province, while thousands of families remain fearful of returning to their homes due to aftershocks and widespread destruction.
