Following damage to the 220-kilovolt Naibabad–Pulkhumri imported power transmission line, Kabul city and 12 other provinces of the country have faced a power outage.

Da Afghanistan Breshna company (DABS) has announced that this line encountered a technical problem in the Tashkurghan Tangi area, resulting in electricity cuts in parts of the provinces of Samangan, Baghlan, Parwan, Panjshir, Kapisa, Kabul, Logar, Paktia, Khost, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Nangarhar, and Laghman.

Breshna added that technical teams have been dispatched to the site; however, due to severe storms, the repair process has been postponed until weather conditions improve.
